Event Submission Policy

Effective Date: November 2025

Thank you for helping Dopin grow by contributing event information and local activities. This Event Submission Policy explains how users (“you”) may submit events, factual event data, and Dopins within the Dopin app and website (“Service”), and what rules apply to that process.

By submitting any event or Dopin, you agree to this policy, our Terms of Use, and Community Guidelines.

1. Purpose

Dopin allows users to:

  • Create original Dopins (user-hosted gatherings or meetups).
  • Submit factual event data from publicly available sources to improve Dopin’s event discovery experience.

All event submissions must follow our accuracy, legality, and content standards outlined below.

2. Acceptable Submissions

You may submit:

  • Public Events: Concerts, exhibitions, talks, meetups, workshops, festivals, and other publicly accessible events.
  • Local Dopins: Personal or community gatherings created through Dopin’s event creation tools.
  • Factual Event Data: Information such as event title, start/end time, date, location, RSVP link, and category.

Your submission must:

  • Be factual, up-to-date, and accurate.
  • Be based on publicly available information or your own event.
  • Comply with Dopin’s Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines.

3. Prohibited Submissions

You may not submit or upload:

  • Copyrighted event materials (such as official images, brand assets, or full event descriptions) without permission.
  • Private or invitation-only events without the organizer’s consent.
  • Events that promote illegal activity, hate, discrimination, or violence.
  • Events that misrepresent real-world organizations or people.
  • Inaccurate, misleading, or fake listings.

4. Ownership and Rights

You retain ownership of any original event you create on Dopin.

For factual event data, you grant Dopin LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display, modify, store, and distribute this data for operational purposes.

By submitting, you confirm that the data is either:

  • publicly available and not protected by copyright, or
  • your own original content.

5. Review and Approval

All event submissions are subject to review by Dopin’s moderation team. We may approve, edit, or reject a submission based on:

  • Accuracy or completeness of information.
  • Compliance with community and legal standards.
  • Potential duplication of existing listings.
  • Inappropriate or copyrighted content.

Dopin reserves the right to remove any event at any time for any reason, including after approval.

6. Responsibility of Submitters

When submitting or creating events, you agree to:

  • Provide only factual, verified, and lawful information.
  • Keep details updated if circumstances change.
  • Take full responsibility for the accuracy of submitted data.
  • Refrain from copying event descriptions, media, or copyrighted content from other sources.

If your event is discovered to violate this policy or any laws, Dopin may remove it and suspend your account.

7. Event Organizer Conduct

If you are the creator or organizer of a Dopin or event:

  • You are solely responsible for participant safety, communication, and compliance with local laws.
  • Dopin is not a party to the event and does not assume responsibility for its outcome, venue, or participant actions.
  • You must respect attendee privacy and not misuse contact data collected through Dopin.

8. Reporting Events

Users can report any event that appears false, unsafe, or inappropriate. Dopin’s moderation team will review all reports promptly and may remove the event or contact the submitter for clarification.

9. Enforcement

Violations of this policy may result in:

  • Event rejection or removal.
  • Account suspension or permanent ban.
  • Notification to relevant authorities in cases involving illegal activity.

Dopin reserves the right to make final decisions on event submissions and enforcement actions.

10. Policy Updates

This Event Submission Policy may be updated periodically. The latest version will always be available in the app and on our website. Material updates will be communicated to users within the app.
